Established in 2011, Dasan isn’t a fly-by-night company, and we don’t operate like one. Going far beyond basic licenses, certifications and insurance required by our industry, we’ve developed and implemented our own comprehensive safety program covering electrical safety, ladder safety, fall protection, material handling, and driver safety.

Dale Leader and Sandy Heller – the “da” and “san” in Dasan – met as teammates in an ice hockey league. That chance meeting soon led to a business partnership as they began flipping houses. Dasan Building Group was born!

Starting out as multi-family renovation and maintenance specialists, they soon evolved into residential building and remodeling. Today, Dasan encompasses all areas of construction.

Unlike some companies that take an “every man for himself” approach, Dale and Sandy have instilled a team mentality that permeates Dasan Building Group, creating trust and reliability that extend to every project.

Our Team

The son of a woodworker, much of Dale’s childhood was spent helping with repair projects in his family’s old Victorian house.

After graduating from the Tyler School of Art and receiving professional training as a glass artist and sculptor, Dale spent 10 years traveling the world while selling his work in galleries and exhibitions across the country.

Today, Dale focuses on the operations side of Dasan Building Group, bringing an artistic sensibility and aesthetic that few companies can match.

Customers and vendors know Sandy — he’s the one ensuring that projects stay on schedule, meet local building codes, and remain within budget.

From an early age, Sandy gained valuable experience in his family’s automotive business, later applying that knowledge and work ethic to house flipping. His father taught him that hard work pays dividends — a lesson that continues to guide every Dasan project, big or small.

Sandy views every satisfied customer as a victory for Dasan.

For the past 8 years, Neal has worn just about every hat at Dasan Building Group — from carpenter and painter to estimator and supervisor. There’s truly nothing he won’t jump in to do.

His steady personality and positive attitude make him a go-to teammate on every project. Outside of work, Neal is a devoted husband and proud Girl Dad to his two young daughters.

When he’s not with family, you’ll likely find him out on the water chasing tuna and stripers — but don’t expect him to eat the catch! As Neal puts it, “I love the sunrises and being with my family. There’s also nothing better than when the reel screams with a tuna on it."

From restaurants to recording studios, Shawn’s journey has been anything but ordinary. For the past 6 years, he has brought his carpentry skills, creativity, and outgoing personality to Dasan’s projects — always with thoughtfulness and a drive to do the job right. His attention to detail and positive energy make him a valuable part of our team.

Outside of work, Shawn’s list of hobbies could fill a page, but you’ll often find him biking, cheering on the Phillies, or sharing his music at a local venue.

As he puts it, “There’s something special about being the soundtrack to someone’s night — whether they’re out for a drink, a conversation, or just passing through. Music is therapeutic, whether you’re playing it or listening. It’s a universal language that brings people together."

For the past 10 years, Drew has been an essential part of Dasan Building Group. With over 30 years of carpentry experience, there is no challenge he cannot handle. Whether it’s solving an unexpected wrinkle in the field or perfecting the final details, Drew brings craftsmanship and calm to every project that he takes up.

When he is not on-site, Drew enjoys expressing his creativity through painting, trading in his tools for a paintbrush and canvas.

As he puts it: “Inspiration comes from the possibility of what could be — and seeing it through to what it becomes. That’s the artist side of my spirit."

Josue brings steady dedication and craftsmanship to every project. A skilled plumber by trade, he is the kind of teammate who is always ready to jump in — no matter the task — and do it with excellence.

With a smile on his face and a heart to help, his pursuit of perfection is contagious. Get to know Josue, and two things stand out: his deep faith and strong commitment to family, the foundation of everything he does.
